In fact, Ross himself designed the first nine (now the back nine) in 1929. The second nine holes were added later but kept Ross's design style in mind. <br> <br> The course is set amid the tremendous views of the Monadnock region, and in particular has views of Mount Monadnock, said to be the second most climbed mountain in the world (after Japan's Mt. Fuji).
